My van has no horn, no cruise control, and a 3/2 code blinking air bag light that eventually stays on. I was told and after researching the problem do believe that the clock spring is in need of replacement. However, for the life of me can not find one available in new or used part markets.

Any one with experienced input that can direct me to the appropriate vendor will be much appreciated. If the clock spring is not separately available, guess I will be replacing the whole steering column???

This is on top of the common problem of the P0171 and P0174 fix that I accomplished last weekend. The Beast is running great - no check engine light, but alas when I took 'er up for inspection proudly puffing out my chest that the CEL was repaired....I failed to realize that my horn didn't work and hence no inspection. Wah wah waaaahhhh

Help please!!

Thanks,

yev

I bought one from Ford years ago for my '99. But you may want to open that thing up and take a look before buying anything. The "spring" is not a spring at all, nor is it sliding contacts ... its nothing more than a wrap or two of flexible conductor/cabling. I would think its very repairable/replaceable ... but I may remember things too simply!
