2002 impala security light on after BCM replacement

I searched the current forums and couldn't find anything on this but remember seeing it somewhere. I replaced the BCM which fixed the doorlock problem but after having the new one reprogrammed the security light stays on and flashes at no particular time or sequence. Also the dash lights are on in daylight and dim out during night time. the dealer said that the BCM doesn't control that and the dimmer switch does . he says that a switch in there needs replacement. Any help is much appreciated.

have it scanned for body codes that will point you in the right direction

the tech that did the work got the body codes off the sticker in the trunk. R u saying one is missing that wasn't added with the reprogram?

I went to autozone to have them scan for codes. I dont know if the tool they use can get body codes but it did spit out the P0480 code for the cooling fans . Also he said the charging system was ok but the battery was bad. Going to have that replaced today. Right now if the car sits for 2 days or more the battery goes dead . hopefully there isnt anything draining the battery. If anyone has any ideas about what to replace to fix the P0480 code I'm all ears. Also after the BCM replacement, for no apparent reason at no particular time, the door locks will click as if they are locking (even though they are locked already) and the interior lights will flash. Blast those Gremlins! Thanks again for any help provided!
