Didn't you read the post I made? Yes, use female spade connector to connect to the switch...
And yes, a crimping tool crimps the metal cylindar inside the connectors down around the stripped end of the wiring. If you go to radio shack or kragen or whatever, you can buy a multi-tool with a crimper/stripper/etc. on it. Here's what they look like:

thanks, you've been a lot of help, i appreciate it.
But don't expect to hear the last of me on this subject yet. Yesterday in class i drew a diagram cause i'm more of a visual learner, and there happens to be a scanner next to me here at work that i think i'll use.

Here's a picture of a distribution block:
http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/359050DistributionBlock.jpg
The metal piece next to it is usually sold seperately, I'm not sure exactly what it's called, but by inserting the metal piece into the distribution block, you will have the same signal on any one of the screw terminals, so basically, by running the wire from the switch to the distribution block will allow you to hook up multiple neon units to the one switch just by wiring each unit to one of the screws... Sometimes the metal connector shown in the picture is longer than the actual distribution block, but you can clip it to size using a pair of dykes (insert lesbian joke here).
Here's a diagram I drew:

ok, nevermind, just saw your diagram.

If you're only running one set of neons, there's no need to bother with the distribution block though.
You're diagram looks correct. Should work fine.

two lesbians walk into a bar....
Freaking genius! I'm assuming a distribution block like that is available at Radio Shack? possibly kragen or autozone? One small question, the connector going into the distribution block, the one with the U shape, what's the technical name for those? and the fuse, 15A would suffice?

15 Amps would be more than plenty.
The distro-blocks can be found at radio-shack... That's where I always buy mine. Same with that metal piece.
Don't remember the name for the u-shaped terminals... Just go to Schucks, Kragen, or Radio Shack and buy the big "variety" pack of connectors, like this:

man this forum has a lot of people in it....
Today at lunch i went and bought everything i needed, no problem. Got home wired up everything and tested it on my battery. Nothing.
Problem 1. I test it at every spot from the neon to the short wire from the fuse box to the fuse. It doesn't work after the fuse. If i take off the female connectors from the fuse, and touch the battery with the one leading to the neon tube, it works. Connect it to a fuse and touch the other end to the battery, nothing. Obviously its problem is at the fuse.
Problem 2. I found quite a few open fuse spots in my fuse box. I planned on taking one of those. But, from the simple and neat diagram, it looks like a male connector is suposed to plug into the hole. Uh, its too big. Civic's have mini fuses right? I don't know if that matters, or what i'm missing, but i can't figure out what would connect the wire to the fuse box because every plug i have in my assorted kit is too big.
:kinda bummed:

notes: the fuse is a 15A and the neon is a license plate frame that i'm putting under my seat. But that didn't mean anything cause it still worked up to the point of the fuse.

Well, you may want to try turning the key in the ignition on... I think just about everything in the fuse-box has no power when the car isn't on. Also, you'll need to make sure that you're connecting to the proper side of the fuse terminal... For each fuse, there's 2 connections, one will have a voltage on it from the battery (if the car is on), and the other will not.

hey racer i see you can't find a way to put on the seats, well with mine all i did was take my old stock bracked and dril holes on the bottom and bolt it up to the seat then used 1/4 inch metal plates and bolt them up tot he stock holes and drill hole in the metal plate to line up with the stock holes in the floor. i'll try to get a pic because it's really confusing now i read it.

no, i touch it to the battery where there is always a constant supply of power. It works up to the point of the fuse, in which there might be a problem with the connection but i doubt it. After the fuse i attached a male spade connector right and put that in the fuse hole? Its too big from what i remember but maybe i missed something last night. Seeing how today's my b-day i would like nothing more to get this hooked up right tonight.
About the seats, i'm to the point where i'm willing to award money cause its driving me crazy.

just do what i did..... take the right amp fuse for that slot.. make sure its a non-blown fuse, and wedge the wire in there..... it'll get power no matter what and u wont hafta deal with those damn spade connectors

There are different sizes of spade connectors, but just make sure the spade is the same size as the spade on the fuse, and it should fit without a problem.

ok, are you talking about the fuse box under the driver side dash or the one up by the battery under the hood? The one under the dash has mini fuses. About that jamming the wire into the hole with the fuse, safe?

yes i belive it is safe. its worked for me for awhile so far and no faults

ok ok ok  I wired up everything today and connected some bad connections that were at the fuse, so everything works. But what i forgot to say is that i have no way or permanently attaching it to the fuse box. I had the exposed wire shoved into one of the slots in the empty fuse hole and then turned the ignition on and presto (after i put the switch the right way) i had lights glowing. But yeah, the only problem is permantetly connecting it to the fuse box via spade connector. As i said before, the fuses are mini fuses. All the ones i have and have seen are too small. The only option i have is to get a mini fuse that fits and put the fuse in, and shove the exposed wire in there as well, and if i do that, would the fuse already in my set up have to be removed? But yeah, my big problem, all the female connectors i have fit normal Buss Fuses, thereby the male counterpart connectors only fit slots designed for Buss Fuses.
Finally i'd like to say, ci5ic, you've been a great deal of help, thanks.
