Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing a Saturn SC2 probably today. Its a 1998 with 87,000 miles and a manual. It is under $3,000. What is everyone's opinion on this particular saturn. Do you like how your Saturn runs? Does it give you any problems? Tell me anything you can about it.

Thanks.
:(

Dude what are you smoking? Does the thing not have an engine in it or something? does it not have any wheels or is there no glass in it? That is a great deal on a car with under 100k on it. I have a 2002 Nissan Sentra Se-R Spec V that I absolutely love and I still acke to drive my Saturn all the time, I had a '93 Sc2 manual and I still freaking love that thing.

Have this car checked out, seems almost too go to be true, but maybe I don't know the resalve value or somehting. Just make sure its clean and runs good, check the VIN number on it.

Saturns weight around 2500 lbs which is light, which means the chassis itself has great speed/handling potential if you're thinking about modifying it.

Saturn Corp made a turbo saturn, stock internals, slight overbore to a 2.0- (from stock 1.9) to lower compression. Slapped a turbo on it, only ran like 6 psi of boost and got a 13.5 on streetable tires. And this was a heavy 3 door coupe, they did some weight reduction that woudn't be necessary in a 2 door coupe.

Did you get that part about a 13.5 on stock internals!? I think they made like 220 horsepower to the wheels. It as featured in Car and Driver.

Saturns are great cars, they are the most overlooked underdog on the road and that makes em 3 times as much fun.

I'm actually going on my 3rd Saturn as soon as I can sell my 94. They are good cars. But just make sure you check the oil often because Saturns are known to have oil leaks. Usually once you catch it you wont have any problems after that. I never really cared for Saturns but once I had my first one I ended up selling them and getting another one. LOL I want a Redline oneday, very nice. Seems like a pretty good deal considering the car is newer. I mean I've got my 94 up for 2450 and its got 137K miles on it. So just be sure to check out the vin on it. make sure it doesnt have a salvage title or anything. maybe you just got lucky. I had a 98 SC2 that went for 4500 with 75K on it. :o) GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH
