Hi guys. I am looking at a 2005 SS and am curious about the reliability and longevity of the superchargers. How long do they last? In fact how does the entire driveline hold up on these if driven sensibly?

The L32 is a VERY reliable motor, pretty near bulletproof (not much different than the L67 which is in the 97-03 GP GTP's)

The 4T65E HD (transmission) is so so. they arnt the best out there, but most def is also not the worse. just like anything else, if you take care of it...it will take care of you. i usually flush my tranny fluid every 20-25K. my '97 GTP had almost 200K on it when i totalled it. never had a problem once with the transmission.

the superchargers arnt bad either. might need to be rebuilt around the 100K mark which most of them do. but really doesnt take much work or money to rebuild these superchargers. a common mistake people make is not changing the supercharger oil. i usually did it annually, or once a year.

Just a FYI 04/05 Imp SS's still used L67s in them, not L32s. Not that it realllly makes a difference tho.
