Water Pump check out

Good evening,

I've just changed the engine (3.0l, 96) from my Car due to Crankshaft demage between 1st and 2nd cylinder. But I have not replaced the Water Pump, now a bit scared if the pump is working properly. When the engine gets normal operating temperature, it is not overheated but I cannot feel any warm air blowing inside the vehicle. Seems, that there is not enough coolant.

Does anybody have an idea how to check the Water pump operation?

"not enough coolant", check the level in the radiator (when cool).
It can take some time and heat/cool cycles to "burp" all the air out of the system.

Usually, you can tell if the upper radiator hose has coolant in it by squeezing it......if it is empty....you know that you are quite low on coolant....(yes, your overflow bottle can be full and the radiator low on coolant)

If the water pump is not working, the motor will overheat.
Take note, as I have found a a number of different vehicles, that the motor can overheat until you get all the air out of the system.
If the temperature goes up above the warm, middle range, that you expect, simply turn the motor OFF....and let it sit and cool.

If the motor does not warm up, then the thermostat may be stuck OPEN.
A stuck CLOSED thermostat will cause the motor to overheat.

Another note, verify that all the coolant hoses are properly seated and tightened at their connections.....but don't overtighten.

Verify that the system is comming up to some level of pressure (a squeeze of that upper radiator hose will tell you this also).
DO NOT open the radiator cap when the system is HOT or under pressure.
USE CARE touching anything when things are hot......
