service engine soon light

Can a poor seal on the gas cap trigger ther service engine soon light. Code P0 0172 to rich I have changed oxygen sensors, engine coolant sensor, fuel filter , injector seals, new intake gasket as it leaked, pvc was changed also, all the obvious. but need to know if a gas cap can do this
