I put in my B16A first gen into 90 civic si hb it has CTR piston with rings and skunk 2,s springs and retainers for now,Everything is almost good execpt for these problems:first my distributor cap is move all the way forward to make the idle come down to 1,000 RPM and goes up to 1,500 once its warmed up and stays there i messed around with the air adjustting screw on the carb its screw in all the way and still idle 1,5000 rpm and once i run for more than 1 hour the IDLE starts to fluctuate up and down i know it might be the IAC or the FITC might. 2 ? is my power is not there i take it to 5,000 rpm and it seems to me like it not enough air or to much i still have the stock exhuast from catalyc to muffler i do have JDM headers 4-2-1...........PLease Help Me.......thanks

what ecu are you running? it seems as tho its not controlling your motor right, or was wired up incorrectly.

If i recall correctly moving the distributor towards the front of the car retards the timing which is the reason that you have no power. I would get a timing gun and set it back to the stock range. The idle sounds like you do have a bad IAC.

i have to move it foward cuz if i put it in the middle or backward wich is advance it IDLES way to high like 2,000 rpm i will try another iac if it works w00t and if it dont them im gonna check ECU.Ok heres the deal i checked timing with my gun its fine but if i put the distributor in the middle the iidle begins to fluctuate up and down and idle is way high normal IDLE is 700rpm.

i checked it tps i get no errors i think its goin to be th IAC most likely or FITC i disconnected the IAC while the car was on and it all went normal but when i hit the gas and try to keep it at a stedy IDLE it would fluctuate know i pluged it bak in and guess what its now giving me error 14 IAC sensor i tried to reset the ecu but with no succes i guess its the IAC then.

try settin your timing back to stock or where you are gettin the high idle and then loosen up your throttle cable?? it should bring your idle down and then go take it for a test run and see if you have you power back.

possible injector leaking...i have one or more injectors leaking and have the exact same symptoms that you do....check your fuel system.
