ok I have a 2000 windstar. ABS light comes on, the O/D light has to flash before shifting(this is anytime), i was only getting codes of 720,171, and 174, now im getting codes 720, 442, 171,174, and 1506 in which 1506 isnt in my book but my reader says, manufacture controlled veh speed, idel control, and aux inputs, and it just spit out all the trans fluid. i did find one plug that the wires had been ripped out of and it goes to the back of the motor(towards the fire wall under the exhaust manifold), but i cant find any thing else wrong. trans was rebuilt 4 years ago, any ideas??? please help.

ex-tex, you sure have a lot of things going on at once it appears. can't help too much except for the codes. from Wiswind's pinned thread of OBDII codes at the top of this forum, here is the P1506 code details:
P1504 Idle Air Control (IAC) circuit malfunction
P1505 IAC system at adaptive clip
P1506 IAC overspeed error
P1507 IAC underspeed error
This unit is mounted on the throttle body, has an electrical connection,
held in place by 2 small bolts, can be cleaned by spraying a penetrating oil in to flush out dirt that may be in the threads of the screw drive.

The damaged wires/connector needs to be corrected first.
I don't know what wires they are, but I have to think that they are needed for something.
1 error can also trigger a number of other errors.
After you have the wires fixed, if you still have the speed sensor error, the P0720 is for the turbine speed sensor (TSS) which is mounted on the END of the transaxle.....on the driver's side....near where the drive shaft comes out......
It should be pretty easy to replace.
The other errors you mention......could be a result of the wires......or the Speed sensor code (as the speed sensor code is listed first)......or a vaccum leak......like a disconnected vaccum line.

ok got the wires fixed, and found the cv half shaft on the drivers side has alot of play in it. could this bee where the fluid came out of, or did the overspeed fault make it come out the pressure release valve? wont know about the other codes till i get the fluid problem fixed.
