I have a 1997 saturn sl1 that started to leak antifreeze from the overflow reservoir. I changed the reservoir and still have the same problem.I also noticed the coolant was leaking very fast and steaming from underneath the cap on the reservoir new and old. The hoses are soft to touch they are hot im guessing thats normal at operating tempature? I also changed the cap its self it seems as if the coolant is being blocked somehow from circulating threw the engine. My temp light/coolant light flashes is that normal for this car? Ive done all i could think of to this point i would appreciate any ideas on what to try next.:runaround:

Make sure the hose going to the reservoir is not full of junk and plugged up.
If the mixture is correct you can take the cap of and leave the car on and it will not boil.
What is the reading on the temp gauge? Normal operating temps is 3/8.
The top hose going into the head by the battery should get hot once the thermostat turns opens and allows coolant to pass through the radiator.
