I have a 06 Impala ss and it started making a loud clicking sound from the center console that seems to continue with the car turned off and its causing the battery to die, I thought it was Air Conditioning related because I can get it to stop sometime by playing with the temp control (the A/C works fine) this clicking sound continues with the car off and A/C not running......somebody please help me.:frown:

Sound like the Blend Door Actuator is busted, that's the motor that moves the blend door to mix cold and hot air inside the cabin. The cheap plastic gears wear out and the motor cannot engage to move the blend door. So everytime you turn the temp knob to the setting you want it to be, that little motor is trying to match the position selected, so it keeps cicling perpetually trying to complete the job!

there could be something in the ducting restricting this door motor from moving this door if thats it..
