I just want to post a thank you note to all who post on this Windstar forum. You guys are great. Everything that has happened to my 2000 Windstar, I have or will be fixing with great help from these posts. I am by no means a slouch with tools, but some things that I haven't done before, I get done with no problems. My wife asks me how I know how to do these things. Then she says "is it that on-line place?" She sees me looking at all the posts just about every night while I watch the baseball game. So again thanks, I'm going to do the 174 problem next.

I will second your compliments to the great knowledgeable posters here at AF. I have replaced many parts myself over the last 12 months with the knowledge gained here. Saved a lot of money and fixed it right too! The 0171 / 0174 problem is what led me here initially, it wasn't that hard a process thanks to the sticky post #1 info and the Leckemby site.

Your wife seems to be more understanding than mine though. Mine has hinted at wanting a new car since I spend so much time reading about all the problems on this vehicle... LOL

If I were to make a log of all the money saved by doing all the repairs my self since I've owned my first car I think it would be close to the $15K mark, and forums like this one play a big part, they are an invaluable tool for the DIYer, not only for the detailed repairs steps and procedures, but also for pointing out where to get the best deals on tools, supplies and parts to get the job done right!

A BIG Thumbs UP for all that contribute to this Awesome Forum Tools...!
