I recently had my 2003 Impala towed to my house. After the car sat for a week, I attempted to drive it around town. Driving forward is no problem, but when in revers the front wheels lock for some reason.
Has this happened to anyone? Are my axels bad or hub bearings shot? Any help in finding a solution to this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Put the front end on jack stands and remove both front tires. Block the rear wheels have somebody else put it in gear and watch. Is the brakes grabbing if not I think the transmission is causing the problem. Normally a seized bearing is going to stop you in both directions. Does it stall the motor in reverse or is it not going into gear. If this is the case check the shift linkage.
