crunching in front when i put brake on

2005 chev impala,all new rotors and pads,not only do i have a click and crack when turning my steering from left to right now i also have when i come to a stop like a crunch like metal sounding like if your front pads were down to the rivets,not sure if one of my ball joints or tie rods are dry or gone all together cause you can't grease them or not,steering is good with not much play when driving and steering a little stiff when stopped and turning left to right with the crack and click,is it possible it could be a wheel bearing gone with a bad ball joint and tie rod too,hard to explain the problem but the car is good while driving.
