Service Engine Soon Light and Service Light

:confused: I have a 99 Saturn SL2 With both Service Engine Soon light and Service light on. Is there anyway to reset the computer so both of these lights will go off?

If you go to your local Autozone they will read and erase the codes for you for free. otherwise some mecahnics can usually read and delete the codes from their computers at their shop.

The service engine soon is just to remind you that a required factory service is due.....

I got this from the dealership. You can just disconnect BOTH battery cables from the battery and the touch the two together for about 15 seconds. This will reset the computer. However, if you have any engine problems then as soon as you start it up and drive they will trip the light again.
