umm all i did was get everything possible then throw on some street tires*one step above sim tires
then i turned up the spring rate a little
gave 'er a little negative camber
turned the sway bars stiffness up to 4 on frontt 5 on back
then bought the best lsd and all the transmission goodies and thats about it
longest drift i've held was well over 10 sec's but not too many corners last any longer than that

dodge viper, traction control turned off, asm turned off, street tires, max tuning (something like 1000bhp maybe, i cant remember) on laguna seca....shit that was hard...

I remember when I first started on GT3, with an AE86, which I raced nearly stock for long enough to buy a Camaro, which I also left near-stock. Those two were set up to be great drifters, and still are. I think Complex String is the best for drifting because of the long near-360-degree corners at one point, and the short section of 90-degree corners which can be taken very sideways. :D

Favourite is Complex String, nice long corners for drifting, and much more controllable than the dirt tracks. Although, I am a huge fan of drifting on the dirt, so the rallye courses are #2.

I had to vote complex string. I do most of the tuning on my cars there, as it has some nice sprint areas for short track's and some long stretches. I've got a nice video of my 1000hp supra drifting the rings. I had a spot where I slid off the course, though, so that kinda ruined the "perfect drift"

Hey folks, maybe when you vote in the poll, you can post, so we see why you like the track you picked. Just a suggestion.

Same here. My friend brian does that one with his celica, and he has it perfected to where he can do a spin and come out while still driving without droping his speed too low to where he cant win. basically he spins in a circle and keeps driving (it's awesome as hell to see).

laguna seca is too much of a drop off to drift that correctly.

it would have to be a slooooow drift to even get through it right to even set up for the right hand drift immediatly after it.

Apricot Hill is by far the best drifting course..it has a combination of long intricate drifts....to hairpins...to choku drifting.....best overall..and it doesn't take 4-6 minutes per lap..-.-;;

Slide into the corkscrew, with your vehicle already pointing as if it were going down the hill. As you near the curbing at the top, where it starts to go down on the LEFT hand side of the track, start setting up for the right hander. If you do it right, you should be able to drift it at pretty good speed. I've been able to do it in the SVT Cobra R, and the Team Oreca Viper GTS-R.

you know, i've done my best drifting when doing a race on arcade mode... seems the added pressure of the opponent ai's causes added ability... but, by far my favorite drifting track is deep forest... i love that long sweeping turn that leads to the hill... its the ultimate satisfaction to drift all the way thru that....
