EGR Valve Solenoid

I'm not getting any vacuum pressure at the EGR Valve and it's not the tube from the solenoid. Is there supposed to be vacuum at the EGR valve at idle?

I can suck and blow air through the lower vacuum port on the solenoid. Should air pass both ways through the EGR solenoid?

Freakzilla see my post on the other thread you are using. There should be no vac at the egr at idle. It typically comes on at higher rpm. It is turned on when the PCM determines it's the right time and will signal the egr solenoid valve to let vac through to the egr. I've read that some egr solenoid valves will have a slight deliberate "leak" that passes through to the egr of about 2.5 in HG. I'm not certain if this is true with the 3.8. If you are experiencing a bad enough leak in the egr vac system, I would fully expect a code for that.

I was playing with this yesterday and found exactly the same behaviour of my EGR valve so I can suck the air through it when electricaly disconnected. The same situation is with the Fuel Tank vacum valve.
