02 Impala SS???

Just wondering... Is there an '02 Impala SS?? A friend of mine just bought an 02 Impala... his is loaded & he swears its he same thing as an '02 SS... blah blah blah... I said his title will tell if its a true SS...hahaa... Anyway... Just wondering if there IS such a thing as an 02 Impala SS.

Just wondering if there IS such a thing as an 02 Impala SS.All SS impalas have a 3.8 supercharged engine,dual exaust,different wider spoiler on the rear,17'chrome rims,ss badging on door panels and a six pod cluster,you cant't mistake an ss from a base or ls model

all ss impalas have a 3.8 supercharged engine,17' chrome wheels,wider diferent spoiler on rear,ss badging on the door panels inside,dual exhaust,sunroof,different grill,(crosshatch look) and a six pod instument cluster with boost gauge so you should be able to tell the difference from a base model, or ls model to the top of the line SS impala

Ok... so you are saying there IS a 2002 Impala SS?not sure,might be,take some pics of your friends car,email me the pics at [email protected] and i will let you know,i started buying impalas in 2003,so far i have had 21 impalas,and now have an impala ls and an ss,both 2005's,also have a 2008 impala ltz

There is NO SS for 2002.

How ever in 2003 they offered an LS Sport version, was very simular to the SS: Same rims but in 16" format, 6 guage cluster but Voltage instead of boost, Still wore the LS Spoiler, no dual exhuast and no 3800 SC.

all ss impalas have ......... ,sunroof,different grill,(crosshatch look) ...........

Sunroofs were availible on LS's (My car has one)

2004 Standard SS still wore the basic Grille. the 2004 INDY edition had the crosshatch with a bodycolored Bar instead of chrome, but 2005 SS's ALL had the Crosshatched Grille.
