Is repacking hub assembly possible?

Was wondering if it was possible to regrease a sealed hub assembly. I know this might be an odd question but was curious. :smokin:

It can be repacked, but the bearings would need to be removed, then the shields removed, the bearings cleaned, and reloaded with a 10% fill of the appropriate grease. It would be easier to replace the bearings at that point. If you don't have access to a press, drifts, and sleeves, it would be easier to simply replace the hub assembly (which is exactly what most people do).

After I got the stubborn hub off, I can see where it`s impossible to repack it. I Learn something new everyday.

i found it to be a very very simple fix, only 3 bolts for the front hubs. do yourself the favor and turn the streering wheel from side to side to make the bolts a little easier to get to. AND MAKE SURE YOU GET THE PROPER TORQ SPECS FOR THE BOLTS AND HALF SHAFT NUT!!! can't remeber them off the top of my head but they are fairly light. over tightening is likely to ruin the assembly. found this out for myself. ask a dealer they will have the torq specs.

The "stubborn" part of the job was not correct on my part. I was being to nice to the axle. Just used a good rust remover and a block of wood and a hammer. I knocked the axle in a couple of inches and the hub came off easily. Start to finish was 45 minutes including cleanup.
