I tried to start my car and all the dash indicators, gauges and the door locks would flicker and click but no cranking. after removing the battery terminal then trying again it started fine. what problem do I have or will have soon? terminals were tight no corrosion, starter wires tight.

sounds like you answered your own question...It is common for corroded connections to reveal themselves when cold weather hits...
removed both battery connections and clean....remember you take power out but also put power into the battery..so bad connections will interfere with charging
