Actually, I'm Tom's dad. But he is my hero. I don't know about his decals, but he'll read this and remember me for Father's Day (or he's dead meat:smokin:) and might let you know he got the decals.
Since I'm getting my plastic car all polished up, I'll need some decals pretty soon as well, so there'll be another order. Since my car is white, I want some side graphics to dress it up. I haven't made up my mind yet or if I did I forgot:screwy:. I'll ask my wife what I decided. She might have written it down so she could remember to tell me we can't afford it and say (one more time), "You're obsessed [or is it abscessed], it's only a beat up old race car." LA LA LA LA LA:runaround:

HA, OOPS Sorry, All you Duke's look alike on the internet!

Shoot, no apology necessary, I felt years younger and better looking. It's easy to tell us apart, Tom's the fast one.

No not yet. Saving them for POST paint job.
I love the gauges also. Can't wait to see if I notice they are there on the track.

Well the god news is... the car is 99% done! I got the exhaust done today and it sounds NICE, actually quite a bit quiter than the 4.6L was, odd, its the same exhaust except for the headers and new mandrel bent "downpipes" Oh and i put on some shiny chrome exhaust tips! good for at least 10 more HP

Oh, and the BAD news............ Murphies law of course bit me in the ass, and the internal TO bearing is leaking, so i have to pull the tranny when the car arrives at the track and see if i can fix it!

TO bearing issue is fixed, I didnt have enough spacers/shims installed the TO bearing was blowing apart. Tranny shifts great now!
Car is 99.9% done now, just cleaning up a few of the oil lines and hoses and then I need to reinstall the tranny tunnel and seats.
Just a few updated pics, resolution is crappy, took them with my blackberry storm, sorry
I got the radiator catch can installed

Exhaust actually came out nice! My exhaust guy put a nice mandrel bent connector and some chrome tips on the car!

The funny thing is.... The car is actually quite a bit quieter with the LS1 in it! Go figure!
look at all the extra room!

So, after the dyno disaster, the car s almost back together, I got the new shortblock in, and have been working to get everything swapped over. Also picked up a new set of heads, and a "Pat G, custom ground camshaft! So, once its all back together it should put down close to 420whp!

Eric, how is the new short block install coming along? What heads did you choose and what sort of specs are you running on the new cam? When are you dynoing?

Funny you should ask, i was down there today finishing up the accusump install today. The new motor is in everything is hooked up, just need to tighten the oil lines and mount the accusump, dump some oil in it, and pray for the best!!!
The heads are stock 241's with upgraded PRC dual springs/retainers and the cam specs are
226/230 .598”/.600” 111LSA +4 advance (with 1.7 ratio rockers)
Comp EPS/EPS lobes 54-000-11 3 bolt cam core
I hope to dyno late next week or early the following week.
Thanks for checking in, its VERY close!
I'll post some pics later
