OK I am guilty!!! I have but some how lost my folding wire gauge spark plug gap tool.. I loved it.. Gave to me years ago by a mechanic who saw me use the 50 cent looking cap gauge disk.. If you have one through it out.. OK found out today my spark plugs are gaped wrong. I grab the gauge disk because it was there and I could not find my other one.. Went to parts stores today and could not find one like I had.. May be because it was a snap-on brand. But I have seen others like it. But not now.. So I opted for the wire disk type gauge. I got 2 because they have 2 different sizes.. one goes up to .050 the other goes to .080. So when I compared the disk type to the wire type I found my spark plugs barely were at .050. They need to be .054. So I got a new set of plugs anyway.. Autolight DP. To be honest I learned this years ago in Mechanics school and still bought one for some reason.. Well in the trash it goes.. Got pictures of the best type to use and the one on the far right looking at the screen is the one that you don't want.. page 5 last photo..
