door keypad code

Hi guys just purchased a 03 windstar how do i find and rest the door code the dealer did not know the code or how to reset it.

Have you checked the owners manual? I do have a shop manual for a 98. The reset methoud may be the same. Let me know if you can't find it in the OM.

The owners manual does tell you how to reset the code but you need the current code or the default factory code to do it. i am guessing the factory code would be hidden somewhere on the vehicle but i don't know where to look.:banghead:

Ford cars and such will put a sticker on the hinge or back gate with the numbers on it. It will just be a white sticker with black numbers. A five digit code.

allso it will be on the computer module for the keyless entry

On some of the Fords I do know the Freestar Not sure on the Windstar the Computer under the drivers side dash there is a bar code with numbers below them.. It usually the last 4 or 5 numbers on the bar code..
