you're under the wrong impression bucko. Liberal wackos don't like Bush, and they are louder and stupider than conservatives, so it seems like that.

Well, it looks like it's a done deal... Even the reporters are being told to high-tail-it so god knows what's in store for Iraq later this week.
I am thoroughly convinced that the Bush administration was bluffing the entire time and trying to scare Saddam and sons out of Iraq, without a shot being fired. Bush has telegraphed this punch WAY too much for it to be anything but a bluff. Unfortunately, France, Germany, Russia, China, and millions of protestors world-wide have steeled the resolve of Saddam to stay by not backing America's cause. Had the entire world backed us he may have gone on his own. Those protestors are as much responsible for the coming war as Bush is.
The UN has drafted 18 resolutions over 12 years against Iraq, and each one has been ignored by both Iraq and the UN. I think the UN, based upon these actions, has made itself irrelevent. I also find it humorous that if the US had not sought UN backing it would be an international crime to attack Iraq. Now that we have sought the UN's approval, even though it was voted against in the Security Counsel, we can ignore the UN and be within international law. The UN is all about getting your view on record, not acting in the best interest of mankind.
Someone posted a response stating that Bush is "continuing Daddy's war" and yet another reply pointed to a speech from "Daddy" warning George about attacking... Which is it?
And as for the massive "propaganda campaign" by the Bush team, nobody in America takes any politician's words as gospel since the "Watergate" and "Iran-Contra" scandals. Only the truly ignorant would not seek the "other-side" to this issue. If anything, Americans may be too cynical!
Saddam is the new Hitler, and apparently nobody else has the balls to get rid of him.
Despite the impression my previous posts may have left you with I have never supported going after Iraq.
Now that it is going to happen I will give the Bush administration the benefit of the doubt and support them until I see evidence that we have been lied too. If that trust is broken, Bush will pay huge!

yeha i will be pissed if i find out i have been lied to. but as it stands i have a feeling we are not being told things for our own good. why would any politician risk re election so harshly unless they really believed what they were doing. not including bush...

Aight, well after reading a couple of pages of this thread, I figure I should say something, although it will probably get me in trouble cause the last time I posted up in here, I posted what everyone else called the worst statement ever.
Anyways, I havent listened to the dixie chicks. I dont have anything against them, its just not my type of music. But I agree with that other guy who said its lame to burn a CD that you already paid for! On the same token, I have many friends who are anti-war, and while I am in full support of US troops, I think no less of my friends based on their opinions, and im sure they think no less of me/
Personally im not too worried about this war which is probably going to go down in about 2 days. I know some of you are saying "But Melt, you can be drafted" Well the fact of the matter is if I am drafted, which is highly unlikely because I am currently enrolled in an educational institution. I will NOT be given a gun and put on the front lines. I will end up stationed somewhere here in the US manning one of our bases, while all the people with all the training and everything are off in Iraq.
And yes, I would be one of those Americans who doesnt really know where Iraq is, but I got a general idea.
Anyways, hopefully the war is swift, and there arent a lot of casualties.
Edit: Oh yea, and yogs, your signature is great! :hehehe:

66 Percent support Bush. Its grown 8 percent in less then one week. It will continue to rise. The French appear to reconsider depending on Iraq's chemical attacks. It took one Man with Balls to say "thats enough"
Now the others are starting to rethink the situation
