99 saturn sl2 keyfob programming

I just installed a new battery in my car and the keyless entry does not work i dont know if it is the battery in the keyfob or if it needs to be reprogrammed? what do you think?

Keyless entry is programmed in memory and is NOT effected by a dead battery. I would suggest checking/replacing the battery in the remote

Try standing near the car, press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote for 7-10 seconds.

It should resync the remote to the vehicle, if not, you can easily reprogram the remote(s) you have.
