OK If it doesn't light up for a little bit when starting or trying to start it then you may have a BCM issue as well.

After work today I will run over and hopefully get these small tests done to see exactly what is going on.

Question: Is there anyway to 'hotwire' this thing to get it going? Getting that pump to kick in to get the truck started?

KNowing how limited I am for service here (nothing) who feels like I can actually get this thing going eventually going or does it really need to get to a GM dealer?

One day I went to start my truck and it wouldn't crank.

Air, fuel, fire.

Air filter clear?
Fuel pressure ok? Ohm test injectors? DO YOU HAVE A MULTIMETER???
Fire. Do you have spark?

If you have these three, the timing is off.

Post back this info. Let's see if we can solve this, and save some bandwidth.

Considering you have not posted the results of about 99% of the information/data we have requested I would say that is a loaded question!

Think of it like this, I post a question like my fridge stopped working any ideas. Somebody asks if it is plugged in. I respond with I open the door and the light doesn't come on. They ask if I can hear it running, I say everything is thawed in the freezer so I don't think so. Somebody says have you checked the bulb. I say I just put a new one in last year. Somebody asks is the circuit breaker tripped. I say don't know what or where that is.

I'm giving reponses but I'm not giving answers and without answers its really tough to figure out what is going on!!!

I know man. But becuase of where I am it is hard to get at the truck ASAP.

For example, I go to work in the dark and when I get off at 3:40 it is dark again. So it is difficult for me to work on the truck during the week and that's why I have been slow and getting answers. The truck is sitting in a shed outside.

The guy working on it with me was running for election here and was tied up with that. He is free of that now so I can finally get him going to help me determine what is going on.

Tests are coming. I have everything written down here and will post results.

Frustration continues. I showed up at 12 but he wasn't there. The battery was stone dead but I did the two tests on the fuses myself.

Question: Do you have power at the ECM 1 fuse with the key on and cranking?

Answer: The battery was dead so I couldnt crank the engine BUT when I tested the fuse there was power there. Not sure if this i normal or not.

Question: Do you have power at the ECM B fuse at all times?

Answer: Nothing. I stuck the things in there but that needle didn't budge.

Knowing there is supposed to be power at ECM B fuse, what does it mean if there is nothing?

More answers to the questions are coming as soon as I can track down that guy.

The "ECMB" fuse should have direct battery power regardless of the position of the ignition switch.

The 10A "CRANK" fuse should have power when the ignition switch is in RUN or START.

Fuses "ECM1", "ENG1", Fuse 11, and Fuse 19 should all have power in RUN or START.

Finally we are getting somewhere. The ECM B fuse uses the same power source as the (IGN)itian A fuse. If there is power at the IGN A fuse and no power at the ECM B fuse than the problem likely lies inside of the underhood fuse block.

Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition before making anyfurther tests. A week or dead battery can potentially give you bad info, which is the last thing you need!!

I am charging up the battery as we speak.

Any updates?

I would love to hear what happened.

I hope he is well up there.

It's a shame when a thread like this is abandoned, but it happens all the time. People should post back results for the benefit of the forum.
