Problem with 94 Sable, Pop-Sputtering-Smoke, ect..

We were driving up, right next to home where a big pop happened. I thought it might have been the tire at first, but then it started making this really loud clicking sound, which turned into a really loud sputtering type sound. You know the way a motorcycle sounds when its going, it sounded very similar to that. We popped the hood, and white smoke was coming out from the left of the hood as your standing in front of it. The right if your in the car. I really have no idea what is wrong with it.

Now we have noticed that the car had been heating up quite a bit, and are not sure of how much coolant is actually in the car. But all in all, I wanted to see if somebody could help me.

You need to refill the system with water. Then you need to find the problem.
Maybe a blown hose maybe a bad fan motor,or leaking water pump.
More information is needed to give any good advise.
