The ZR1 would be damn hard to drive. The amount of torque hitting the ground the second you give it gas blows my mind. I have a problem with my insta-boost, imagine THAT thing.

And I dont see how you can be disappointed with a car that runs an 11.3 BONE STOCK.... When you just glance at the numbers, yeah it looks like the ZR1 doesnt have much gain. But like Stig said, they arent made for drag racing. Im sure that the Ring times between the Z06 and the ZR1 are quite different... dont flame me if im wrong, thats just what I would expect to happen.

^^They are. If I remember right the ZR1 ran a 7:26 (though it took em' about a million time because in the beginning they were hitting 7:40's all day) and the Z06 I believe ran mid to low 7:40's. I think the ZR1 would be very hard to control for the 12+ miles of the Ring And from what I have read it suffers from heat soak as well.

Heak soak with a supercharger? nah, cant happen. :P

I would feel so insignificant behind the wheel of that monster throwing itself around the ring for twelve miles. I would imagine how nerve racking that is for those guys, no matter how good of drivers they are. Running the official lap time for a car would make me pee my pants a tad. But, as long as you can keep the baby straight and make those suckers in the back grip the road, you are runnin ~ 7:26

And by the way, nice signature!

^^Nah, I was talking about the heat soak for the supercharger. I would doubt the ZR1 has problems with break fade.

Not with those brakes

Arent the calipers like, the size of an infant? a large infant?

Trust me, superchargers bleed heat like a fountain. Once I hit around 120-130, the car just hits a wall. She keeps going, yeah, but nowhere NEAR what she was doing before. Cooling mods really free SC'd cars up. I pull even with modded VR-4s and LS1s, then heatsoak... :(

But I would imagine that a 6.0 (its a 6L right?) Supercharged engine makes a tad bit more heat than my 2.0 SC... Which is scary. That hood better be lined with everything possible to prevent the hood from melting...

Its a 6.2, you could always get some meth for the car, my friend did it for his SC and it did wonders.

We didn't end up doing it on my car, but I've done three intercooler sprayer fab ups now, and trust me, they will work wonders. Its a pretty easy set up, and if you want to save money, you can hit an Autozone or Pep boys or O'Riellys to get all the kit. If you want a sticker, and don't mine paying an extra 20-30 bucks, DEI as a pre fabbed kit.

Dale Earnhardt Inc. sells spray kits? :) I kid, I kid.

What does DEI stand for? I heard about this from Torched and I was very interested in getting it... Not to mention a VHT spray kit located in front of the wheels :D but thats a different story.

Anyways, you should give me a URL if they have a website. I want teh cooling mods.

Thank you sir. Is the CO2 kit required with this, or just optional to make it even colder?

It will work without the C02 spray kit.

If you spray with CO2 or N2O, you will see substantial power GAINS...as opposed to spraying with water, which won't gain power over what you already should be making - rather, it will allow you to hold your power longer by fighting off the heat soak a little.

But "chilling" the IC can net ~20hp at the friggin WHEELS. It's just as substantial as an IC upgrade.

especially since my IATs are at friggin 105 to START with.

Forget the spray. Upgrade your IC dood!

I have a $20 way to pour twice the coolant through the Heat Exchanger, and I will be buying an FMHE after winter is over.
