92 saturn

I have a 92 saturn at times will not start when it's hot,I have to shoot it with some starting fuid.Then it will fire up Could it be the fuel filter or maybe a fuel regulator,if it has one.Any ideas.I would also like to know how I can pull up trouble codes,is it under the hood with a reader or can you pull it up from inside with the key or a button.

Replace your ECTS first. Your car has two, you want the one with the 2-wire connector.

Also a new fuel filter and cleaning of the injectors will definetly help. Im sure they both are stock have have never been done on your car.

New problem,350 tranny,It hits hard in reverse and slow to ingage into 3"nd.Could it be missing a shim or maybe a couble of springs mixed up in valve body.Or maybe oil pump is going bad,any other ideas.

reverse slam syndrom.

Change the fluid and filter asap. Wolfmans reverse slam remedy should also be done.

If that doesn help a new input shaft nut can be needed. Then a valve body replacement if the new nut doesnt help.

How do I get to wolfman,so I can see what his ideas are?I biuld twenty to thirty trannies a year and I have never had one baffle me like this one has.I had just rebiult this one, the clutches were toast.It's got to be something stupid I know,I guess I'll pull it apart , inspect every thing again and replace anything that looks suspious,I hate doing things twice.
