I have a 92 saturn SL1 SOHC Throttle body and it will not start! It has spark and is getting fuel to the throttle body but not through the injector. I have replaced the following:

*Fuel pump
*Fuel Filter
*Crank position sensor
*Air intake sensor
*Throttle position sensor
*Fuel injector
*Pressure Regulator

-The ignition module is good (checked @ autozone)
-ALL fuses are good, checked and rechecked
-Enough fuel pressure at carb
-Starts with Starting fluid, but dies out
Please help
Thanks

Again check the injector. If your have fuel all the way to that point, im sure its your issue. Also check the connector.

Replace your ECTS also. This sensor is vital to air/fuel ratios at start up. Replace the one with the 2-wire connector

ok, now after i posted my problem, i went out and tinkered some more. There is fuel getting to the injector, u can see it coming out as it cranks. It will crank and start then as soon as it does it will die. What is the ECTS? There is a part on the throttle body at the point of where the cable is @ that is called Idle Air Control Valve, it has 4 wires going to it, i took it off anc cleaned it but still looks crappy. would this be a problem? This saturn does not have injectors at the pistons, only one at the throttle body.

Thanks
David

Yes you have a TBI engine. Regardless your Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor needs to be replaced. This controls fuel/air mixtures during start up. Yours is cracked. use the search button for a video ive posted on how to replace it. Your local dealer has them in stock. Be sure to check the connecot for corrosion and clean/repalce it as needed.

Any SES Light?

which temp sensor do i replace? there is 2. one goes to computer and other goes to guage. there is a single green wire on one and two on the other(1 black,1 yellow). i know they are inexpensive but every penny counts now-a- days. (why cant these cars be like the old days?)

once again, thanks.

Ahh Sorry, i didnt mention which one. You need to replace the one with the 2 wire connector. This is the one used by the PCM. The other one rarely cracks and should be fine

Think alternator? Battery is dying out now from starting so much!
