'03 sable wagon keeps stalling

I have a 2003 sable wagon LS 24 valve. Two months ago I had a complete transmission rebuild. I don't know if this is a coincidence but shortly after, the car started stalling whenever you come to a stop. also the light turned on on the dash. I Took the car to advanced auto parts, the codes showed it was an oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1. Change it but the light came back on and the car still stalls. Checked the codes again and this time it was the airflow sensor meter, changed that and still nothing has changed. On the the hwy the car shows no sign of any problems.

If anyone has some insite to what could be causing this I would appreciate it!
Thanks

Have you changed out the IAC (idle air control) valve? Some of what you describe sounds a lot like that valve gone bad....pretty inexpensive part and you can easily do it yourself.

Distanceguy1,

I change the idle air control but I still have the same problem. Any thoughts?

Other items it could be are a dirty fuel filter, an EGR valve that is not closing properly or a dirty MAF sensor. The least expensive of these 3 is the cleaner for the MAF sensor...maybe 8-10 bucks a can (CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner). You will probably need a torx head bit to undo the sensor from the airfilter tube.
