A/C lost it's charge

Is this a common thing? Sucks in such a new car.
It's a 2004 GT turbo.
I'm a car guy and I can't see anything, or even where to squirt a little soapy water to find the leak. Thaat motor is just shoe-horned in there, with plastic covers on everything.
