Car will not full throttle

I have a snap on scanner and when I try to calibrate, the car will not go to full throttle. Cuts out around 3400 rpm's. Problem is, the calibration won't work unless it hits 4000. On three attempts, a change oil light came on, so I will do that. These cars are so completely computorized. It drives me crazy.
All this started when I put a wrong sized tire on the right back. The trans. went into limp mode, and car has never been the same. That code I erased, but now the trans. doesn't shift properly.
In the old days, went a transmission slipped it was time for new clutches, or maybe a service, but on no. It could be the computer telling it wrong stuff. Wouldn't that be crazy if the car would not let itself go to full throttle just because the oil needs changed??
I don't know if it needs re calibrated, but when I ran a troubleshooter test, it suggested a calibration. So when I full throttled it, it told a story. It will not full throttle. Already changed Cat, and no codes are present.
My question is, why will the car not full throttle? without surge bogs.

You did not say what year but if you have a Snap-On scanner you need to read the data from the sensors. The data may not be bad enough to give a trouble code but is effecting the way it runs.

your post lacks proper detail in what is wrong with vehicle operation....how exactly is transmission operating improperly...condition of fluid is also important is this fluid clear red, if cloudy replace..
when the cat was replaced was the o2 sensors checked ? is there over 100,ooomi on these o2 sensors ? if over 100,000 replace..
fuel delivery system needs to be checked fuel pressure, filter replacement, fuel pump bleed down ,regulator...get pressure guage and make sure engine has the proper fuel pressures..

When 2001 Impala is full throttled at a stand still in neutral it bogs by surging downward around 3400 rmp to about 3000 rpm, and back up. Car will not full throttle.
So obviously I shouldn't blame the transmission for improper shifting just yet. This may be a mere symptom, like having to let off throttle to shift from first to second.
I've read many threads here, and this is belived to be caused by a valve sticking, named a pressure control switch, when really, it is no switch at all. And this is why it will not throw a code.
It is a valve between the first and second sol switches, under a steel plate, on the side of the trans. I certainly am not going to address that problem if I have this problem of the car not full throttling.
If it is an o2 sensor, I would read it, I think. 'Snap on's upgraded 1500 insert is what I'm using, in that it has a troubleshooter. The clear problem with this is, I don't have the specs on all the parimeters so it does little good unless I get off the lazy chair and get those specs.
Without those specs, I think my best case is to take it in, though I will check the 02 as you have suggested. That's my first spec. Are you talking about the one that is Post cat? How would I know which one that was on my scanner? It usually reads 02 1 02 2 02 3.etc... blane
I'm not getting any misfire info. In amazement, how can a car not full throttle and receive no codes?? Is a 5000 investment in a scanner still not enough to show those secret little things that Chevrolet won't let us know outside of the lock down gate of the dealership shop?? Where's the egr code if it is an egr problem?? Where's the 02 code if it is an 02 problem?? Where is the info that the computer is telling the car not to full throttle??
I feel like a need a degree in car computers. or just a secret code finder.
I feel either ripped off by Snap on by telling me "This babies the bad boy of scanners"!! or by Chevrolet creating a computer that won't code out enough info on clear trouble. That is untill they have the car, then their scanner seems to find the problem fine through their troubleshooter.
We once had a 01 chevy truck that the dealer said, "Oh we have to recalibrate it, you can't do it. Concerning his oversized tires. Our new trans. we installed would not go into 3rd gear. He burned the first one up by not recalibrating it to his new tires. I think we're all lost.
Could this be a similar case. I should take it in right??

Actually I know the data and the paremeters have all the answers. I just don't like that setup.

O2 1 and 2 should go between about .3 to .8 volts and back again crossing .5 volts at least 10 times. Read your O2 cross counts.

Ok I changed the oil, and drove it about twenty miles, and finally threw a Code!! Yea.. here is that code. p1404 EGR-2 position/egr clsd perf
I suppose the EGr is stuck, right. I am on line to locate that jewel and deal with it. I'll let you know how that works. If it doesn't, then I will check the fuel pressure system.
Two freeze frame codes, meaning codes from a previous incedent, says the fuel sensor is bad. (history code is p0463). and p1189 engine oil pressure switch, probably due to the oil needing changed.
This would explain the sporatic behavior of the fuel gauge.
Also in history was that other code of p0730 which was incorrect gear ratio. from putting a 15 rim and tire on the back rear. Lesson!! Do not put a 15 on these cars. The brakes were redesigned so that the disc drums on the front would be bigger. This causes 15's to not fit on front!! When they do fit on back!! That is stupid!! Then when you put a 15 on back, your tran. will go into limp mode and throw a trans. code of po730 incorrect gear ratio. and wont chage into second gear. That's where all this started. No telling where it might lead from here!!??
EGr 2 that's where I'll be. The car will not shift correctly and will not full throttle. blane

If you are flooring the throttle in neutral there is an rpm limiter at about 4k, the pcm is protecting the engine from " letting go" from just such an action. Look closer into the p0730 code this is usually an internal shifting issue possibly related to the solenoids..
