Hello! Need some assistance with diagnosing the problem.
Issue: SL2 will not turn over. No Lights in dash or headlights/turning signals, no clock/radio, no dome light, nothing. Has brand new battery (thought that was the problem). It does start when jumped, but if turned off will not turn over. Took battery out for about 10 minutes put it back in, car starts.
Tried:
Testing battery for voltage both alone and while trying to turn it over
Result-Fine-no drainage
Checked Fuses
Result-Fine
Checked Battery
Result-Fine. Correct Volts no corrosion.
Checked Positive power wire between battery and fuse terminal
Result-Fine
Is this possible computer problem? Any thoughts and suggestions would be helpful!
Thank you!!

You have a bad connections somewhere between the battery and the car. Make sure everything is corrosion free along with any grounds. The fact that the car starts with a jump says the car is FINE and that its a connection issue.

Hey, my friend,
It is the most common electrcical problem of cars.
I just fixed my 2000 SL2 about 2 days ago. It died suddenly on me, no light, no radio, there was nothing to tell the battery is connected. I check with the fuse box and they are still intacted. So, I tried to shake both + and - terminals and I could see the cabin light was on.
I told myself it might be the connection problem. I removed both connectors from the battery, removed white powders that stick on, spray WD-40. After I put them back and screw tightly, I could start it very smoothly.
This is my personal experience. Don't panic.
