body work

Could anyone help me out. Im a big DIYER! I have a big back yard to do most of my work in, but my whole question started when i fell in love with the rear end of a 96 honda civic so what my question is how much body filler the parts and all shorts of stuff do i need to convert civic taillights onto my 99 saturn SC2? i want to do a tail light swamp but my question is should i do the massive body work or should i buy a civic trunk civic rear end and take out my quarter pannels cut them up then blend them intogether or what please let me know. thanks
