So I was looking at how wrong the color was on my first attempt (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=719112) and about the same time stumbled across a photo of a C6-R test mule. At the time, that was about the best my modeling could produce. I look at it and laugh now! :grinyes: :grinyes: :grinyes:
This is a nice way to rebuild a model and not have to worry about getting decals! Semi gloss black is duplicolor acrylic enamel (this semi-gloss is fantastic stuff) and the yellow is krylon fusion sun beam yellow (also fantastic stuff). I'll add a few decals on the back as well. The mule had a yellow roof; I goofed and masked the back clip instead. If I find the pics of the mule, I'll post them as well.

After seeing enzoenvy's C6-R WIP, I had to cut the front out and add mesh. This one and my white C6-R (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=887562) have the show style wing struts, but the LeMans winning car will have the correct struts.

The hood blobs were sanded off, and needle heads were used to represent the latch mechanism. Bought a pack of 300 for $3. They also would make nice rivets. Helluva lot cheaper than some of the modeling specific hardware (although maybe not as accurate).

Comments appreciated. I attempted to weather the exhaust; any comments on that? Too thick...?

thats sexy!!! That black looks really nice, would be good for the Bad Boy livery. The weathering looks fantastic, how did you do it? Was it from the tamiya kit?

Ooooh, that's sharp. Great pics. The black looks very good. I guess that means you're not going to clear it, right?

Looks really good . I am building something simular with a 1/43 DP Fabcar.
after I had everything decaled the car dropped on the floor. So I decided to paint it Semigloss as well.:banghead: But I like the yellow and black together
looks good.

Nice livery for this car.
I like it.
Weathering is IMO spot-on.
