Hey, i just noticed this in another thread. I'm going to be putting the 89 crx Si seats into my 90 crx si. I thought that they'd work no problem. Are they not going to bolt up? Someone said that the 88-89 rails are different from the 90-91..? any1 know for sure? any help appreciated

Well Dude..i was putting 91 Integra (3-door) seats into my 91 Civic 4-door, (same year :() and I had a few issues..I do think there is a difference between the 88-89 Civics and the 90-91 Civics but I do not have personal knowledge...the issue becomes generally that one of the rails will come off one seat with a couple of bolts...then the other rail is an integral part of the seat....that was my issue...the inside rail on the Integra seat was part of the seat back but the "same" rail came right off on my Civic seat...the outside rail on my Civic seat was part of the seat bottom and was not removable at all :( - you'd think they would make one seat for 15 different vehicles...not 15 different seats for 2 or 3 very similar vehicles..

I say you just put em in and find out, I cant see why there would be an intragenerational difference in that respect.

yeh, well we're going to be putting the seats in when we do the transfer between the cars. I just like to know as many of the problems that we are going to encounter as possible. i don't see why they would be different..but then i saw that post about it in another thread, and got me all worried.
