hello everyone.Ihave a 1998 saturn sl2 and was wondering if anyone know what could be wrong with it.at 1100 rpms it wants to die.but idle and past 1100 rpms the car runs fine.guess it would be called a deadspot.i have replaced the plugs/wires/cleaned the tb and egr and relpaced the tps.i unhooked the egr to see if would make a difference and it didnt.dont know where to go from here.any help would be great.thanks

the problem was.Symptom: Hesitates under part throttle, may feel like an engine misfire, ignition system and fuel delivery system test good.
System: Emissions/PCM/Fuel, Engine Ignition
Codes: Possible P0300, P0301, P0304
Problem: The #1 and #4 Spark Plug Wires are reversed which causes the injector timing to be off by 180 degrees.
Test & Fix: Verify the correct Spark Plug Wire installation order of 4, 1, 2, 3
System: Emissions/PCM/Fuel, Engine Ignition
Codes: Possible P0300, P0301, P0304
Problem: The #1 and #4 Spark Plug Wires are reversed which causes the injector timing to be off by 180 degrees.
Test & Fix: Verify the correct Spark Plug Wire installation order of 4, 1, 2, 3

Exactly what I was going to suggest! Though one would not think that having 4 and 1 reverse since they are on the same coil pack would make a difference it does. Glad you fixed it.

i guess the person that had the car before i did put the plugwires on wrong.and i didnt even look to see when i put the new ones on to see if the fireing order was right.next car i get. that will be the first thing i look at.im looking at a new motor now for a turbo setup(if the wife lets me)
