fuel gauge problem

I recently had my Body Control Module replaced and three days after I got it back I ran out of gas, in part because the low fuel light did not come on. Also, when I fill up the gauge reads only 7/8 of the way full. My first thought was that something got tweeked or not reset properly when they replaced the BCM because that had been causing other intrrument panel problems (odometer reading was inaccurate and would not change). When I got it checked out they tell me that the Fuel Level Sensor is out of range and want to get into the fuel tank to replace it which I am guessing is quite spendy. I am wondering if my suspicions about the BCM causing the problem could be accurate or if this is a case of "one thing after another".
Thanks,
Matt

saturn Powertrain Contol Modules (not BCM) RARELY go bad. If anything i would think your instrument cluster is having issues since your odemeter, fuel guage, and fuel light do not work. go to a junk yard and get a new one.
also always post your vitals :)
