actually, to be honest guys...i don't know the answer off the top of my head. i know for a fact in the episode where Mr.Burns hires Grandpa Simpson's troupe of geezer security guards, and Grandpa rambles on about onions on his belt, he DOES mention the original name of Shelbyville. so if you want your answer, look for that episode or info on that episode. there IS an answer, but i just can't remember it. sorry guys!

Ya, that blows - you want to kill the thread, don't ya? :thumbsdow
Then here's my guess (and it WILL be correct until someone knows the real answer), Shelbyville was once called "inbread-hick-ville".
My Q:
The episode where Homer, Smithers, and Burns crashland their plane in Cuba (before Castro punks their trillion dollar bill), the three of them get into a taxi and Burns comments on the model of the cab.
What type of car did they get into???
Hint, if you can remember how Burn's entire sentence went the name of the car will come to you.

stop trying to turn this thread into a confusing jumble. old questions that were left to die are not to be answered now. answer the question that's up right now, and THEN it'll be your turn for a question.
btw, if you were a true Simpsons fanatic, you WOULD pay attention to the episode titles. it's not that hard.
