why would u have to sand before painting, i was under the impression that the parts were plastic meaning the plastic is that color meaning there really is no paint to sand to begin with, wouldn't u just be sanding the design in the plastic off....

you sand to get all of the dirt off and also to give the primer and the paint something to stick too. you can do without sanding but there is no promise that the paint will stick

you dont sand with sand paper you sand with a 3M Scotch Bright Pad (purple pad). Also The Clear Coat Is Optional, Its Really Not Needed.

everybody i've ever talked to has used 320 grit sandpaper...so do u use it with soap and water and the 3m?

actually i used an interior prep solution. the solution heats up the surface, and softens the surface so the paint will stick. for the little pieces you can use soap and water.
