Update at the body shop

one of us should ask worshp how much he paid for his

just got home from my dads shop and we just finished up painting all the jams. i have included a sample of what my car color is inside the back hatch. my next picture will be off the whole car painted. i getting really excited. i just hope everything is going to turn out good.

Looking like a nice color walt. Are you going to paint the engine bay too?

nadda, i want my engine bay to be flat black and before someone sticks their two cents in on how its not a complete paint job, i could of done it if i wanted to but imo engine bays just look better when they are flat black.

yo bro that orange is hott im in the middle of stripping the paint off my car soon im going to be painting is orange like that and a black hood....i cant wait till i do......i want to see of pic of your car painted is going to look awesome....

yeah i dunno if i can go cause i dont have a ride my car is dead i blew my engine and its not painted, no doors, no bumpers, no hatch, no hood....i should be primering it soon.....but i doesnt really matter cause i dont get my license till october...lol....and i have to change my engine....but maybe after i get my license and my car done (well the outside) we could meet up sumwhere....but i dont think my car is goign to be done anytime soon plus i dont have my license......it going to be awhile

bravo!!!! i am doing the exact same thing. right now the bay is completely stripped of every nut, bolt, hose, and wire. in fact, i have the same sideskirts and doorcaps you have. how well did they fit up, and where did you get them from?

i got them from e bay and they fit like shit until me and my dad went to work on them. the back bumper wasn't that bad, i switch exhaust cut out from left side to the right and i had to make a bracket inside the bumper so it would be level and no gap and the sides were just hell. it didn't fit at all but i al;so bought a very cheap kit but i made it good. but then again i want everything to be near perfect. i made sure there wasn't any body gaps. did you buy a cheap made kit as well?

the sides have not come in yet, thats whey i am curious. i bought them from rs2motorsport.com

hey man, if you want a black hood, the bets thing to do other than painting your hood black, is get a CF hood. You will get clowned on just having a black hood and it not being CF. Just my .02 cents.

Definate clownage!~ I wanto to se what it looks like when its done... Its hard to impress me with a turbo setup, its gotta be all clean as hell and thermal wraped up the ass!

ive heard thermal wrap isn't that great. but don't know for sure. And i see nothing wrong with turbos setups, like i said the other day, turbos and superchargers create 2 different types of power, forgot exactly what. But if your a fan of superchargers and not turbos, thats your thing. Me personally, im a fan of turbos.:D

by the way i agree with the flat black under the hoot my friend has done exactly the same it looks so much more tidy ad it doesn't look as dirty either

thermal wrap is only good on a non daily driver, b/c condensation and whatnot will get under the wrap and cause the piping, whatever type, to corrode and all.... you'd be better off ceramic coating it or using some other kinda of thermal coating/painting

im just goign to paint it black till i get money for a CF hood cause im like broke right now

you should just paint it the same color as the rest of your car

i dont really want it to be one color i want like two different colors that go together.....i dunno i still have time till i paint it.....

hey....did you paint your car today???

i put my car all back together from the doors fenders hood and hatch and bumpers. still have the sides to do but monday i will get everything prepped for paint then on tuesday my dad will spray it, let it sit overnight and then put everything back on and send it to the window tint shop. then a good day of cleaning up cause my interior looks like a tonado went on a war path through there. i will take some pics once it is all finshed and pretty.

so walt tell me, how the hell did u get ur kit so well on there, better than a professional. Didn't u say u did it urself? Do u have expierence with installing them, or was it ur first one, let me in im very curious!!

I belive he said his dad owns, or works at a body shop.
It's also his car, since his dad is doing the work he wants to make it better than the usuall job. Thats what i'm guessing :D

Thats almost the same color as i'm painting mine.
But mine will be a much lighter orange. Like the color of Orange Creamsicles :sun:

well that pretty much summed it up. lol. my dad owns a body shop and has like 12 employees. and my dad is a bit of a perfectionist and the littlest thing will bother him so he will fix it. i have worked for him for 2 1/2 years or so. so i have knowledge on auto body but no where near his. he amazes me so much. about 2 months ago a kid came and he has a 95 integra. he had bought a entire front clip for his car from japan and my dad cut his car in half and welded the whole front clip on to the american car. RHD american!!! it looked perfect. it took him about 3 weeks to do it though but it was worth it. i'm thinking about buying a shitty ass hatch and just switching front clips. what was that website again where you can get an entire front clip for our cars with the b16??

Yea i thought about clippin the front of my car like that, but im also just thinking about importing on over here. But all that is once i get a good job and some money coming in
