I'm down as long as there's an open track or road available...Let's try and make it legal though or at least far away from cops...dont want to get fined or cause any trouble or anything...:flash:

OK so it is going to be on sat. the 1 of march correct?

Ya we could all meet on blackstone off the freeway and cruse up in a group.
So far it will be me and my buddy dom. Just heard that a few may come from lemore also so maybe 6 cars. Also we need to find somebody that wants to be the responsible one to take $$$, thru paypal or something, so we can get a BBQ together.

Damn I wont have my paint job yet. Oh well

hey, are there gonna be any chicks there? ........

XxLuckyLisaxX
01-29-2003, 01:24 AM
I'm a chick (Duh) but don't even think of it as like oooo one of us can get at her cuz its not even like that, i'm sure Ami feels the same way (U said u might come right Ami?) but I thought i got the impression Ami is married but anyway

Cjz89civic, i feel the same way, March 1st, no way in hell i'll have my paint job by then :( but it's all good i'm really gonna push the process of my motor swap to have it done by then, shit, thats like a month away,

But just to let u guys know ahead of time i dont want no shit about my paint job, some guy said something to me about it today and i was so pissed i just gave him the :finger: but yea the front end is primered because i was in an accident so the z3's and the hood are primered black and the ww front bumper is black and then the rest of the car is the stock dx brown.

I give no fucks though my car is still sick as fuck :sun:

So yea someone take charge of the BBQ thing, Haven you down? Whats the closest big park we will be sure to have spots at?
Sounds like hella heads are gonna go, i'm gettin butterflies LOL

Cjz89civic
01-29-2003, 02:10 AM
SWEEEEEEEEET its coming together... who lives in molesto (modesto)
If somebody wants to organize the bbq that lives there that would be great if not Ill do it. I figure $5 each should be more than enough for hot dogs, sodas, ect.. Any more Ideas post it. We also need to figure out a head count MY THREAD FOR THAT GOT KILLED (AS*&^%$s) but ok then.

hey there Lisa i didnt mean to make you think anything bad about my question w/ the chicks.... i guess the way i had said it kinda didnt sound too good heheeh.... sorry, it was just a question off the top of my head. It'd be kewl to meet some full fledged racin' chicks.... and about your paint job Lisa, dont worry about it, i think cars look hella sick when they are totally primered up even though it's not all one solid color, those are more intimidating than them hella nicely fixed up cars.... so i say forget the paint job, come the way you are........

word.

i think melt or someone should open up a new thread for head count only. the people who are gonnna be there just go and post a quick "im going" reply. no chatting. just so we can get a count of how many heads are gonna go. then we'd open up a new thread and discuss: money, does the park have a bbq pit or does someone need to bring one?, and what type of stuff we gonna do. i still think going down to fresno to cruise/race would be dope.

well, there is still like another 4-5 weeks till the meet, and i dont think the meeting date has been officially confirmed has it? so until like a few days til the meet we probably wont know whos really going for sure until then..... maybe then we can start a new thread like a week b4 the official date.... i dont think we should start jumping to conclusions yet, personally i never make plans this far ahead cause it always gets screwed up, i like to just make plans like a few days at the earliest.....

i laready requested it off so i hope were sticking with that date, lol whoever keeps saying we should go cruise in fresno u just want to head down there cuz u live there and u want peeps that u know to see u cruizen with a fat mob. i might ask one of my friends that also has a 4th gen(if u see a camo hatch i brought my friend) to come with me but we will see im very skeptical about who would be cool to bring...

but anyhow so does anybody have any big plans to do (for their car) before the meet like me?
i'll be kinda embarassed if i show up with my dx motor still in, but where the fuck is my credit card it should be here by now. :bloated:

hey lisa whatever you do, just dont rush the swap, bad things happen when you rush something like that, you wanna take the time to do everything right...... nobody's gonna say anything about a dx motor as long as you show up, then it's kewl...

Redline_civic91
01-30-2003, 01:40 PM
yeah dont rush and dont max your cards!!!!!!!!!! i made a big mistake when i was in high school i maxed out 5 cards:eek: for about 2 years i really had no money in my pocket cause i had all these bills i was pretty much screwed paying these off. im still paying them of to this date and it sucks. i would have alot more money for my car if i didnt have some of these bills. im just saying be carefull with your cards. and no thats not why i want to cruise fresno, i dont even live there and i hardly cruise there i've been there before and it gets pretty good, i just think it would be something everyone would like. i really dont care if we go or not.

EF_LSVtec
01-30-2003, 01:55 PM
Fresno may be a bit too far...Modesto is quite a hump already for some of the peeps and driving back would be a pain...But I'll go if everyone goes...

*Try to bring some parts laying around too, maybe we can do a small AF swap meet or something...just within us I guess. Remember, your junk could be someone else's treasure...Doesnt have to be big like seats and hood, maybe bulbs or some stickers or something...Just to make things interesting.

when it's a 4th gen event, nobody cares. it's about 88-91 Civic/CRX owners hanging out for the day.....checking out the cars in person, meeting people face to face, and talking about 4th gens.

as for starting a new thread for head count.....shakes head at noob's ;)

again:
Set the TIME, DATE, and LOCATION and i'll do the rest. i'll make a page on the site with the even'ts info and make a list for head count. then i'll put a link on the main page & mention it in the civic of the month e-mail that goes out to the people on the mailing list.

something to keep in mind when you find a location....you need to get an okay from the owner of the property. or it's loitering to be there :bloated:

Melt

So from what I know, its gonna be March 1, at the JC in modesto. We need to figure out a time still, what do you guys think is good?

EF_LSVtec
01-31-2003, 12:40 PM
I think about 10am is good...figure if its 3 hours away, then leave between 7-8...people will probably start rolling around 11, just in time for an early lunch or time to fire up the BBQ. Chill for 2 hours, drive somewhere (another hour), then head back between 3-4pm...

EF_LSVtec
01-31-2003, 12:42 PM
I'll bring a couple of boxes of CrispyKreme donuts for the early peeps...

amy@af
01-31-2003, 12:55 PM
not saying i'll be there for sure...not saying to plan this around me. however, i can't be the only one (from whatever direction) considering on making more than just a 3 hr drive to get there.

could you consider starting at noon?

EF_LSVtec
01-31-2003, 01:29 PM
I'm sure it'll probably start at noon anyway. Setting the time early is just my way of getting people to hustle up a bit...not that I'm in-charge or anything, I'm just suggesting these times. But leaving at 5 or 6am if you're a few hours away is not a big deal I think, at least not for me. Coming early is easy, plus the excitement of meeting other 4th genner's help, but driving back after a long day is a bummer.

01-31-2003, 01:57 PM

first off, if we came down....chances are we'd end up staying the night and going home the next morning. you would think leaving at 5am wouldn't be a problem. however, my Californian friend, it could be a huge problem. it snows as late as Easter here. Mother Nature I can not control.

last time greg came up it hadn't snowed yet. it snowed while he was here. it stopped when he left and didn't start back up for a month. lol

EF_LSVtec
01-31-2003, 02:58 PM
Ami, I hope you didnt think that the "leaving at 5am" reply that I posted was intended for you...Driving that far is bad enough let alone the snow, (i agree)...Don't worry, we'll plan another meet for something you folks up north can look forward too (thats worth driving)..Maybe my birthday, haha

i am going to try and make it. i don't mind leaving at 5am. i grew up in the L.A. area and still have family there. sometimes in the summer we leave at like 3-4am and make the 10 hr drive to get through the mojave before it gets hot. driving isn't the issue. it's been a wet winter but not much snow. i have my fingers crossed it will keep up :D

you guys need to start planning on coming up here in may! last year mike drove 12 hrs to get here. some people might be doubling and traveling twice the distance. it just might end up 1 great chance for A LOT of people to meet up face to face :jump: and possibly car to car. if people want to come up a night early....we can head to the track!

irvin, greg, and melt...can i kinda have you 3 work together to make this happen? you should kinda have the feel for how it's done. melt, you get the mission of driving directions/map. you do a REALLY good job at that. greg and irving can you guys kinda just over see things? make sure location is good and other little details are good to go. if someone creates a flyer i'll add it to the site. that way anyone and their mother can print it up to hand out.

of course any & all suggestions are welcome for everybody :D

edit: melt, you want to organize caravans and starting points if several people from the same area plan to attend? you did a good job at that too

As far as directions, just use the ones h4bangin posted
