Hi folks,
I'm John and I live on the outskirts of London. I'm a videographic designer for a large tv company and love everything to do with cars and bikes - especially the older stuff. I visit Le Mans every year (The Le Mans Classic every 2 years) and the Goodwood FOS, Revival + BSB and WSB etc. when I get the time/wife's permission! According to this board I'm a real oldie at 44, but I still skate - so there!:grinyes:

My name is Gary too, from Vancouver Canada...
I'm 26 now, but started this hobby when i was about 12....but at that age i was really bad at it (not that i'm any better now :banghead: ) so i stopped for many years...recently picked it up again, and my love for cars/art has reignited and makes me wonder why i stopped for so many years.
I just finished my first (again) project last week, and is on my second one. A Tamiya Supra.

haha, just kidding. I'm 19 and attending Wright State University in Dayton OH. Been building since I was 6, and contrary to most beliefs, I've actually never had help from my dad (died when i was 11). I thrive on learning how to do all this stuff, but i'm just now getting into cars.

Hey-
My real name is Jon Ferren (same as my user name, original, huh?), I'm 51 (yeah, I know...) seems like I'm old enough to be most people here's Dad. I'm new to this place, a friend turned me on to it. I have no idea how all of this works. I build street rods (I like the 'rat rod' (for lack of a better term) style) and nostalgia drag. I was surfing around trying to figure out how to post pix and I got as far as here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/upload from the FAQ page and it says that page cannot be found. In any case, looking forward to communicating with some of you up here, will wait for a reply. Over and out.

Real name is my on-line name, Dingo I got it because when I was born somewhere around 60 yrs ago my father was a Feral animal control officer (shooter) so he named me after the dingo.
As for my age well I tell everyone I'm nearly 60 so I'm sticking to that.
My work well I'm a care provider no I didn't follow my fathers line of work although I do hunt but only for food, not sport or feral control.

Greetings All,
My name is Christopher, I'll lap the sun for the 45th time in April and I've been building plastic models, off and on, since I was a kid. I've been a rally fan since the late 70's and had hoped to get in on the Rally Tribute Build but, as we all know, life gets in the way sometimes. I'm a life-long BMW fan(atic) and drive the 1988 325ix pictured at left, which I raced to victory in the Open AWD Class of the 2004, SCCA Northern California Rally-X series.
I have been collecting 1/24 rally car kits for the past few years and plan to build a 30"x40", "Legends of Rally" garage/shop diorama (approximately 5,000 sqft in scale). At "3,500 sqft", my current mock-up is too small as I now have seven cars, another on the way, and at least four or more to acquire prior to completion.
I'll get some more pictures and start a WIP thread in the near future but, I should warn you all that, while usually thorough, I seldom work with blinding speed. I'm giving myself at least a year to complete this project.
The world of plastic modeling has come light-years since my last builds and I've been enjoying my AF re-education! I've already begun applying some of the many things I've learned here so please, feel free to feedback freely.
All the best!
PS: Here's a sample of more to come in the WIP. Makinen's '99 Evo is just out of view in the lower right.
