Just wanted to drop in and tell Tony thanks for making me aware of your little part of the world here. At Tony's request i will be taking some pics of the upgrades i have made to my car that Tony spoke of and i will let him post them for all of you to enjoy :)
Hey Tony next time we take your car to TMC :) Thanks for joining me the other evening, i had a great time. take care J

But you know why it's cool??

It's because of You...
Because Tony and You(txgreenlambo) are the only one who has those car:flash:
If it would't be for your kindness....we could't ask question( and get answer), or see incredible photo of your car.
D you know what the "World Wide Web" miss?

video of murcilago racing...even on a racing track...

p.s: I would like so much to see a murcilago beat a ferrari or other cars...but you could get caught by the police!!!

One more think:
Do you plan to upgrade your engine? gear? or maybe put a headers with straith pipes?
cause if I were you I don't if I modified those kind of car!!:)

TXGreenLambo
01-22-2003, 05:47 PM
Actually i do not plan on doing any mechanical upgrades at all due to warranty concerns, The dealer did not even want me to put chromes on it.
I like the more cosmetic approach to upgrading my cars that way i can give more input on things i know more about, sorry i am not a mechanic :)
As for the Ferrari matchup, My friend has an F-40 and we went for it on the Tollway here in Dallas at about 3am and it was a fairly even matchup. From a dead stop he is putting over 500hp to the rear tires alone and that is a little tough to over come unless i was in my GT-2 but once you are both up to speed the Lambo is way more nimble and responsive, Audi has done wonders for the Lambo.

But really when you have a car like this do you always want to drive like a bat out of hell??? Most times I just enjoy cruising slow and watching the moving traffic jam in my rearview :)

FYI, my fastest speed to date has been 186,,,,,,,,, The North Dallas Tollway is Gods gift to Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche owners. Thanks J

TXGreenLambo: I was wondering about the interior colors of yours.
Also, you had mentioned that you had a GT2. I was curious what your
likes and dislikes are of it.

TXGreenLambo
01-23-2003, 01:57 AM
The interior color of my Lambo is:
Nero Perseus - Grigio Sirius (Black Alcantara)

As for my GT-2 it is a Seal Gray 03.
On this particular car i did have several modifications done through Boardwalk Porsche in Plano TX. where i buy all my Porsches. They did the following mods to my GT-2 before i took delivery:
-Costom Kinesis Chrome Rims (18in w/ 19in ctrs)
-B&M short shifter
-Sport Exhaust w/o baffeling
-Racing Clutch & spring
-Chipped w/ Dyna performance chip

when all was said and done i am putting 565hp to the rear tires (rated)

The GT-2 is a very agressive car to drive and brutal also because w/o all wheel drive and PSM it is a very unforgiving car to drive if you do not know what you are doing. I worked my way up to this car through dozens of high end high performance Porsches over the past couple of years so that i would know exactly what i was looking for and i would be able to handle and respect the car itself.
And before you ask NO it is and never can be a daily driver,,, but it is fun on weekends,,, and never never never drive this car on a rainy day or on slick surfaces .
Hope all this info helps. J

TXGreenLambo: Thank you for your info on the GT2. Sounds like a lot

Wow. Speechless

VERY IMPRESSIVE, 3 911's! You're my new hero. You must have quite the garage door setup for all that. I'm still astounded. Any plans for future acquisitions, I noticed all cars are brand new, I'm guessing you update them frequently or just decided one dya you needed 3 911's.

Thanks guys :)
As Tony can tell you i change out my cars about every 3k miles or about every 30-60 days. Last year i Bought 23 Porsches from Boardwalk Porsche and 3 Lambos(99 VT Rdstr,01 6.0, and 03 Lambo. M.)& 6 CL 600's

I just get bored once i get a few miles on a car.......As they say about me at Boardwalk "I change cars when i run out of gas" I cant explain it but i do have fun and i have a great time in DFW with the guys here that share this hobby with me. I dont do this to make $$ i do it because it makes me happy....... constantly ;)

Me and Tony actually met at the Dallas Lambo dealer when he was taking delivery of his Orange Lambo and i was looking at the one i would eventually buy (Lime Green). Its a very small group of guys here that indulge and i am just honored that i can play in thier playground also.

As for my garage i keep 3 indoors and 3 on the drive and i always have one or two at a dealership for service.

My asst. drives an 99 Audi A-4, i can have him send pics of his also if you would like :) Take care and once again thanks for all the compliments and input. J

Hey TXGreenLambo, that is definitley the best collection of cars i've ever seen!! Out of curiosity, how do Lamborghinis hold up maintenence-wise? I have always heard about lots of problems with Ferraris such as coolant leaks, etc. Also, if you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living?!?!

But, 23 porsche's, SL,..., that's just too much for me :D

Did not like the 03 Range Rover, lasted about a month,,, i did not want to go to college again just to learn how to drive an SUV :)

I will get with Tony about video and see what i can do i am not very computer savvy. I do have some digital video from the last Gumball but i will have to figure out how to download it from the camera. It was my first one and had a blast.

I really have no interest in real organized racing, i like to go to TX Motorsport Ranch and play once in a while with the local PCA chapter but i mainly just like to learn to drive safely............at really high rates of speed :)

In referance to your question about maintenance, i have 1800 miles on my Lambo and just had the oil changed and once in a while i have had some minor glitches but nothing major at all,,, it is by far the best driving and preforming Lambo i have ever owned or driven.
Both the VT and the 6.0 havevery touchy clutches and you have to be very careful not to blow your clutch when shifting. The 03 is absolutely awesome, no shifting problems whatsoever.
As for my occupation,,, I am self employed, I have a management co. that specializes in opening upscale gentlemans clubs. Did i mention that i love my life. :)

Eloquently?

My God! Do you find eloquent my fool stories about PlayBoy Girls and Lambo's? hahahaha NO??!! Do you find that Eloquent! or Senseless? LOL

Anyway, now speaking seriously...

Are you meaning my bad English Tony?

Well... for sure I have not a good command of the English languaje... many times I get mistakes when I am typing

I am remembering right now an anecdote from last month concerning my bad English...

I was typing a letter to a guy from Amsterdan (my company do business there) and I was discussing some terms of a contract with him... so I was having some doubts in several terms and I told him...

... I have some "DUDES"....

hahahaha

Certainly, the spanish word "DUDE" is the equivalent to the english word DOUBT (many times I type some words in spanish and later on I replace them with the right english words), but now I know "dudes" in English have a very different meaning.

That moment was a tense moment which was requiring many apologies to my contact in Amsterdan. Fortunately, this person was very friendly and understood perfectly foreign people make mistakes when are typing in foreign languajes.

If have I made any error typing or have I expressed something incorrectly, let me know and I will try to repair it.

Please, let me know if may I be of further assistance.

Is very possible a guy with thousands of millions dollars could buy 23 porsches in one year.

Of course, that is unthinkable to my personal economy. I'm not sure but 23 porsches could be...

23 x $ 100,000 = $ 2,300,000

Well, that quantity of money is not very much money for some people with tons of money. So is very possible a guy can buy 23 porsches. I meet people in Spain with boats of 15 millions dollars (from the shoes industry).

Porsche sell the most part of its production in the USA.

Besides that, there are a lot of financial agreements you could reach when you have a company or you are rich, which lets you own the car from certain numbers of miles or period time and then obtain an agreed quantity of money for your car (agreed resale, Leasing -which is not the same as credit-), guaranteeing the value of your inversion. That's way you always have a new car.

Volvo is a good company to put an example: they do a lot of cool options to companies in Spain to sell cars to their directives, specially to those companies which needs certain number of cars to their salespersons.

I meet personally the public relations of porsche in my country (thanks to a friend mine which is a professional pilot, testing prototypes) and the actual problem from Porsche is they do not have the same technology as Ferrari (by example) or Lamborghini or other makers.

Porsche's are doing evolutions in the exterior design but the technology stills being the same.

Some examples:

Tiptronic from Porsches have the worst results in the market. This is a fact, just simply go to the Porsche Club from Spain and check users with Tiptronic (most of them are reselling their cars).

However, Porsche have a special "teenager's" magic, which no other car could copy.

Really I love Porsches

They are planning to update the engines so we can expect some evolutions, but almost for transmissions it still being the same.

Yes, you right they need a job and opportunities in life with a little of love. Meanwhile job comes, probably alcohol would be the only way to spread the wings and fly to another world of equality and justice.

Anyway, the problem is more nearest to Government than rich people (many times, rich people works very hard to get their status in life and I respect that)

People necessities are very complex to analyze it in two dropped lines.

Oh, I'm not saying there's no way it could be done, and I'm willing ot bet it wasn't done the way you suggested either. It would be much easier to:

Buy one car, have fun wth it, then approx. 15 days later (23 x 12 months) get one in a different colour or an upgrade. Yet you're not buying a new car really, just trading in the one that is 15 days old (I use 15 days since I have no idea how long actual ownership was for) So really, it's just like updating your car every half a month. You'd only e paying the difference of the depreciation between changing cars, as well as any upgrades on the new one.

I'm guessing it costed a lost less than 2.3 mil. More like 1/3 of that tops.

Am I right TXgreenlambo?
