See this type of atitude burnes everyone. Reminds me my ex.She had cigarrette burns on herself from guys and she told me that she dated other guys that beat her up even raped her. Now when i asked her why she put up with this stuff she told me she deserved it. Let me tell you one thing NO girls deserve this.

And now even though after we broke up and offered to help her any way i can she refused it and i found out that she started again dating guys that abuse her. This makes me suffer too cuz i really care about her and she will not let me help her or help herself.

So do everyone a favor and do not separate from a guy just because you think you don't deserve him cuz you'll end up hunting him and yourself. So if he really is a nice guys he will forgive you just give each other another chance.

The ladder theory is too true...I wish the Onion had it archived on their site (they don't) but they did an excellent article a ways back titled "Woman changes boyfriend into someone she's not interested in" about a woman who started dating a punk-rockin' rebellious party guy and convinces him to settle down, be more financially responsible, get a job, etc., then discovers he's boring. So she moves on to another punk rebellious guy who doesn't have a job and is only interested in his band. Good read.

To comment on a few of the ideas from the last few posts:

1- I don't think that women are entirely attracted to jerks. In my experience most women are looking for a certain level of confidence from a man. Unfortunately, they see a man acting like an idiot, and mistakenly see this sought after level of confidence. You can be a nice guy, and still be confident in yourself. I've tried this and it ended in a broken marriage, which almost killed me.

And for the record, I've been to every continent on this earth and dated a woman from damned near every one. And after 10 years of travel and dating I settled upon a most wonderful woman. Who also had major issues with depression. And after 3 years of near constant bickering, mostly on her part, some councelling for her depression we are a most happy couple.

2- All woman are not bitches. This is a common misconception. The problem is that most people do not communicate effectively. They don't even bother to communicate. This is why 1 out of every three marriages in the States fail. This is why my first marriage failed, and why my second marriage, but for the force of my will, almost failed. You need to talk to each other. Women seem bitchy because most people don't bother to take the time to understand that there are certain fundamental differences between men and women. Now admittedly some women are quite catty, but to say that all women are bitches is a blanket statement.

And if anyone has bothered to read this far, I apologize. That's enough of my diatribe.

Women go out and meet a guy, and they like him because he's fun, and outgoing, and loves to party and have a good time, but as soon as they start dating, she want's that foolish behavior to stop... They don't want him going out all the time, and they sure don't want him talking to other girls, and they REALLY don't want him to have a good time (j/k about that last one :p )...

I dont think i'm the type of girl that you're complaining about, but I do know that after what I did to the best guy you could ever find on earth, i definatly dont deserve a nice guy. Well i read this whole thread and their is a million things I can say but I'll save it for later and I'll keep this short.

1.Guys you gotta take these bumps and bruises in stride it's all part of growning up. Sucky part
2. Learn from the past don't make the same mistakes over and over.
3. Self-loathe for a while but move on and be a better person.
4. Don't have this feeling like a GF is gonna solve your problems or make your sucky life better.
5. Connected to 4: Improve yourself and your life and girls will be attracted to who you are. If you are happy with who you are and your position in life it shows! And people want to be part of some1 like that
6. Don't let your wanting to be a nice guy and wanting to please get so carried away that you stop being a strong individual and you become a doormat. That's how you get f-ed over and the title friend!

That's the stage I'm at. While I wouldn't turn down a girl I liked if she were to come onto me, I'm not actively looking for a girlfriend right now. I want to finish college, get a good job, get a decent place, get the first of the cars I want, then at that point hopefully I won't even really need to try to get women...they'll flock to the Heepy :D

the only reason why he's amening the mods posts is because he AGREES with them. let me ask you a question, did you even bother to read the user guidelines?? you're in clear violation of them, and i wouldn't be surprised at all if this post gets you banned. this is a forum about opinions. if someone agrees with a mod, then they'll say so. that doesn't mean he's "riding his balls" or sucking up to him.
