Hopefully this title doesn't get me in trouble.
My first post on the forum...I just purchased a 99 Ford Windstar, so far so good. I do however need to replace a missing part. I've been told it's referred to as a "runner grommet" but have been unable to locate this part online. Here are several pictures.

#2, Towards cab, grommet in place

Can anyone identify this part?

Bonus Question: What is the part number so I can order it online or through Ford?

That is the intake manifold runner control or IMRC and you need those white plastic bushings parts number F5RZ9F955AB i believe thats the part number maybe someone could check to make sure. Most 1999+ windstars have had those bushings break i had to replace 4 of them at $10 each at a ford dealer.

I am thinking that this is the "nylon clip" that people have mentioned.
I have a '96.....and they changed from the vaccum driven to electrical driven starting in '99.
You can get them from FORD....some people have located them elsewhere.
If you do a search on "IMRC clip" from the windstar room you should find better information than I can give you.
I have been REALLY lucky with mine.....all original at 190K + miles.

The FORD dealership will have a VERY good parts breakdown on their computer......that will get them to the correct part.
I have been unable to find anything that comes close that good of a parts diagram system.

Oh.....WELCOME to the forum, and really nice pictures to describe your problem.

"Bushing" makes sense, but the last I bought from Ford had "retainer" on the bag. DUH!

I would try the help section at Advanced or Auto zone they may be able to match one up for you. Maybe even NAPA

Thanks so much for your posts. I called my local Ford parts store, and they have some in stock for about $7.00.

I just finished this repair myself.
Had no luck at the help section of the local auto parts but Ford did have them at $6.47 a piece,so I bought 2 of them knowing that I will drop at least one and loose it while trying to install.
The rear most one is still good so if I don't drop one then I will have one for the rear when I loose that one.

I just had the same problem (spark knock under load) and found that two of these bushings were broken, one on each linkage. I replaced them both and the spark knock is gone.

Just a helpful hint if you try doing this, these bushings are meant to go into the hole first and then the linkage pressed into it. Also, the top bushing in the back was bad on mine and was difficult to get to. I had to glue it to my finger with rubber cement to get it into position to push it in but after about five minutes and a couple tries it was in and I was finished.
