I have recently purchased a 2000 Windstar. It has the VCR and Nintendo system with the vehicle. I cannot get the TV to work. It has a remote and I changed the battery. There is a green light that is on but no picture. Any one help?

Make sure its on the correct setting. If you are getting a light then you may have it on video setting with nothing playing also check to make sure its on the correct channel. Yours should have a VCP I don't think the 2000 came with the DVD could be wrong though. Just make sure the video setting and or TV setting or video 2 setting is in the right format.. If you don't have the book for it you can look through online manuals...

Thanks, will double check that... Manual I have does not have much when it comes to troubleshooting so any advice you have is helpful. Dean

I've just bought a 2002 SEL with the entertainment system too... All I am getting is a flashing "PWR" light and it will not accept a tape???
In the manual it says that this is indicating it is in "Emergency Mode", but it doesn't give a cause or resolution...
Any ideas or help greatly appreciated.

Not sure if there was a place to unplug it. But Try to fine the
the fuse that powers it unplug and put back in to reset. Now emergency mode could mean its part of anti theft and the dealer will have to reset. Can't remember if the Windstar had this feature. Will the monitor show anything?? Or is it black.?? Also make sure there nothing in stuck in the VCP player..Maybe previous owner had kids that tried to put something it.. These are some ideas of issues people had in the past. Also I never read instruction on electronics I just managed to figure them out.LOL..Hope this helps..
