Hi there,

Newbie here. My dad has a 2001 Windstar and he asked me if I could swap his all season tires to the new set of winter tires he bought (tires mounted on another set of steelies).

I took the hub cap off and I noticed it looks like I need a deep socket. I have a 1/2 drive Torque wrench.

Could someone tell me what correct socket size for the nut?

Thanks.:)

I can only speak for my 95 win and 95 taurus, which both have standard lug nuts, not chrome, etc. They are 3/4" or 19mm. The Haynes manual calls for a 83 to 113 ft lb torque. To my surprise, the same equipment on my taurus has a torque spec of 80 t 105. Go figure. I just recently worked on my car needing to remove the tires and I reinstalled them with a torque wrench. I was able to figure out the tire shop with their impacts with no torque limiter tightened my lugs pushing 200ftlb!?! Have fun.

Yes, as mentionned, the lug nuts size is 19 mm or 3/4 in for the 2001 model. like earlier model.
