Corvette Summer Stingray in 1/25 scale

Lookin' great! I must say you really captured the look quite nicely. Personally I think the heavy flake is a bit TO heavy, but it does get the point across well. Besides, 'Vettes are made of fiberglass, and so are bass boats, so why not carry over the paint job, right? lol, j/k.

The "stolen" car looks great with the pinstripe flames.

I went an jumped on to the tail lights and messed up and I went bakc made new ones and I think they came out well this time. I know that I said I will be making PE parts of the name but I need to work at it some more. Oh and one more thing As I was goin to put the body parts up for sale I ran in to a little truble on the Copy rights So that has put a hold on my resin kits for now.

This looks awesome. Not superclean. But I am mightily impressed with your effort and enthusiasm. I remember this movie. I loved Mark Hamil in it. That car was the Schnitz back in the late 70's. It's so retro now...LOL.
I was trying to d/l it through bit torrent, but couldn't get it. I'll keep an eye out for it. I am sure it will turn up somewhere.

holy jebus, those turned out so much better than I was thinking they would. You really did a grand job on the paint. with a bit of wet sanding, they'll be flat perfect! I am now finding myself with the desire to build the 'Vette I've not seen in about 20 years that's been in my collection....buried, thought to never be seen again.

I've tryed to keep as close to the movie as I can. I hand painting the chevy corvette flag emblems it was not easy.

Ok you all I have had a bad day on the morrning 1:48AM of the 12th of May. I was rushing to try and get the cars done for a show that day an my nerves got the better of me and I griped the frount end of the car like a football I was thinking of letting it seal across my room but right after crushing the frount end (The Hood is ok it was not on at that time) I found that all me bint up anger was gone see I was having a hard time putting on the side pipes, that's when I thought of my project as a football and doing a pass with it. oh ok back to what I was thinking. After that was over I started puting it back together an I was thinking I did not build these car's for some show I was buildig it for you all. and a good feeling came over me and I got the car back together fast and now the engine fits the chassis better. Well I'm back to the spot where I griped my car and now that I can think better I found a better way to make the side pipes. Here's some of the work on them.

Once I did the pipends I tryed to make them from resin but that took to long so I made them from Alum-Tubing I think they came out well. Oh that's not black tape around the side pipes that are going into the muffler it's Thick Gloss Black. At the end you'll see just why I did that.

I painted the with High Gloss mixed wht GL-Black and let dry for 2 day and two nights. Sorry I did not take a photo of them untill after I put them on the car's.

Ok now on to the hood, I needed to make the small air screen's for the hood scoop vents. So I used Brass mesh and now that I know how to work with PE parts I made a small box shape out of the cut up mesh.

I know some of you have seen the car's hood vents in a brass or gold look and that's ok but to keep up with the move the vents should be black.

The only thing that I don't agree is the orange peel effect on the paint,but you can come around it,and from what I've understood,you are rushing them to get them to a show,right?

And the car has a LOT of curves,no orange peel would be hard...

You should find a copy of Hot Rod (sorry I don't have the actual issue, but it was from last fall sometime) where they show detailed pictures of the actual car. The right-hand drive setup is a chain-drive system mating to the left-hand drive steering box.

From what you've had to work with, "Amazing" might not be a high enough accolade.

I had a lot of fit issues. Sorry for the bad :banghead: paint job "That's what I got when I rushed". Besides all the goofs an the fit issues I'm glad it's all over. Next I've started on a new movie car from the Movie the "WRAITH" once I get most of the body work done I will start a new tread on it., but as for the Corvette-Summer Movie car Collection I plan to order the old (AMT)A-Team van aka Vanessa's Van, a (Fujimi) '71 Datsun aka "It's a Datsun"?!, an (Revell)Wayne's Black Trans-Am. I don't like the teachers truck so I don't think I'm going to build it.
